Crack a date-locked PDF

Most password-protected PDFs use a date as the password — a birthday, an account-opening day, a filing date. This tries every date near a year you give it, in the usual digit formats, until one opens the file. The PDF never leaves your device.

Encrypted PDF

Starts at January 1 of the center year, then spreads outward a day at a time (±1 day, ±2 days, …) across both years.
